Production Supervisor
The SAW Module Fab Value Stream has an opportunity for a 3rd shift Production Supervisor to join the Microelectronics Operations Team. This position has responsibility for the manufacturing operations team in a fast paced, multi-shift, high mix environment that produces products using cutting edge technologies. The Production Supervisor ensures that all products meet contractual quality, cost, and schedule requirements by planning, organizing, and directing the flow of production while maintaining a safe work environment.
The position is responsible for the effective execution of the manufacturing operations strategy, using the available control systems, tools and metrics to accurately measure progress, identify root causes of failure modes, assess production capacity, resolve quality and staffing issues and develop/implement corrective action plans.
* This position is on-site in Andover, MA, working 3rd shift.*
What You Will Do
- Effectively manage day-to-day assignments for 10-15 represented employees.
- Safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Schedule and cost accountability.
- Workload planning and forecasting.
- Employee training and cross training.
- Time and attendance tracking.
- Enforce company policies and procedures.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
- Supervisory, leadership, and/or manufacturing experience is required.
- U.S. Citizen - the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with microelectronics fabrication with the ability to operate within a clean room environment.
- Previous experience supervising bargaining unit employees.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Previous leadership and management experience in manufacturing or similar environments with managing high volume/low mix manufacturing lines.
- Experience utilizing business systems and tools that aid in managing labor, processes, and budgets.
