Quality Engineering, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Manufacturing Engineering Tech 3 at MKS, you will partner with Technical Operations to support Production. In this role, you will report to the Equipment Services Manager.
Support the manufacturing floor. Respond to unscheduled equipment issues and perform Preventative Maintenance requirements. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions for validation and troubleshooting functions. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy equipment malfunctions and PM requirements. Uses manufacturing test, development or diagnostic equipment which may require some software skills. Manage lab and critical spare parts inventory at multiple MKS sites.
Analyze part storage identifying automation and improvement opportunities. Assist with shipping and receiving of parts for equipment builds and critical spares supporting the manufacturing floor at multiple MKS sites. Assist with production printer management across multiple sites. Implement and maintain a PM process for printers on the manufacturing floor. Maintain database accuracy and up-to-date records as well as assist in the analyzing of data/records for improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
Minimal Travel is required.
Skills You Bring:An AA degree, military technical training, equivalent vocational training, or related on-the-job experience. 2+ years’ experience with parts management (procurement, shipping/receiving, inventory). Relative experience in a technician role assisting with repair and/or maintenance. Ability to collect and analyze basic experimental data and effectively communicate results. Demonstrated work experience with MS Office products. Candidate must be comfortable with MS Excel, Word and Outlook at a minimum.
Experience with PM and/or inventory database a plus.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Pay Range:$ 25.88 - 43.13 USD per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
