Detail Inspector II – Incoming Quality & Documentation

A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As an Inspector 2 at MKS, Inc, you will partner with the Inspection team to perform first detailed inspection of incoming or purged parts, materials, components, assemblies, and equipment, and document the results. In this role you will report to the Incoming Inspection Supervisor.

• Perform first detailed inspection of incoming or purged parts, materials, components, assemblies, and equipment and document results.
• Coordinate the collection and disposition of purged material.
• Work from written procedures, drawings, sketches, and specifications.
• Generate engineering change requests to correct drawing issues noted during inspection.
• Adapt inspection measuring devices and procedures where necessary.

• Completion of high school, vocational training, or equivalent (preferred).
• More than two years of related experience.
• Inspection experience and understanding of inspection techniques, reading, writing, intermediate mathematics, and the ability to use specialized equipment.
• Ability to read difficult instructions, maintain written records, interpret and utilize blueprints and engineering drawings.

• Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods.
• Regularly require good manual dexterity and coordination.
• Occasionally move or position objects up to 50 pounds.
• Remain in a stationary position for 70% of the time.
• Communicate information and ideas so others understand.
• Operate in a professional office and/or laboratory/manufacturing environment.
• Observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet).
• Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• Dedicate to safety to mitigate hazards, including handling mechanical, electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually average.

$18.71 - 31.52 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience, and training.
