Job Summary
3rd Shift Die Inspection Process Support Engineer in RF Microelectronics/Module Design & Foundry Services (RFMicro) Department at Raytheon Technologies, Andover, MA.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and support third shift process activities on 3rd shift (Mon‑Thurs 9pm‑6:30am).
- Coordinate with fab operation leads, engineering support, and shift leads for process and throughput improvements.
- Review lot status, disposition of wafers, and special disposition of wafers on hold.
- Train manufacturing personnel, document processes, and maintain organized records.
- Perform failure analysis of tools and processes.
- Support tool and process qualification efforts.
- Identify opportunities to reduce rework and scrap.
- Communicate status and issues to other shifts and functional teams.
- Live on the production floor for quick issue resolution.
- Perform die inspection, die pick, automated die inspection, and die singulation as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a cleanroom environment and semiconductor processing techniques (optical microscope inspections, automated die inspection, wafer singulation, wafer bonding/thinning, photolithography, dry etching, metal evaporation).
- Working knowledge of microelectronics processing techniques (die inspection, die pick & place, automated die inspection, die singulation).
- Excellent communicator with ability to multitask and pay attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in small cross‑functional teams.
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance.
- Authority to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience with semiconductor equipment operation and/or maintenance.
- Knowledge related to semiconductor processing and data analysis.
- Experience with data analysis software (MATLAB, Python, SQL, JMP).
- Experience with quality standards and audits.
