Security

Clearance Required:

U.S. citizenship and a DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain one) is mandatory for this role. The position demands an active and existing clearance after day one.

What You Will Do:
  • Establish baseline factory metrics (scrap, rework, first‑pass yield, etc.), identify top drivers, forecast future demand, and pinpoint improvement opportunities.
  • Engage shop‑floor personnel and defect‑prevention teams to align on priorities, using data to drive compliance resolution, containment, root‑cause analysis, and corrective action within a closed‑loop process.
  • Conduct process walks, operator observations, and lead manufacturing discussions to reduce variation and enhance processes.
  • Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives—including PFMEA, control plans, and statistical process control—verifying and validating improvements.
  • Integrate product and process verifications (First Articles, audits) throughout the value stream to prevent quality escapes, optimize throughput, and ensure on‑time delivery.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in electrical, mechanical, system, manufacturing/industrial, or supplier engineering environments.
  • Proficiency with first‑article inspection reports (FAIRs) and quality monitoring in manufacturing or engineering settings.
  • Knowledge of quality metrics development, root‑cause corrective action (RCCA), and manufacturing quality systems or industry standards such as ISO
    9001, AS9100, or AS9102.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, work instructions, and customer specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong familiarity with J‑STD‑001, ISO
    9001, AS9100, AS9201, Six Sigma, CORE, Lean principles, or related tools.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional improvement activities (e.g., 6‑sigma, lean manufacturing).
  • Hands‑on experience with APQP/AS9145, including PPAP, Key Characteristics, DFMEA, PFMEA, and control plans.
  • Proficiency with SAP/PRISM or other ERP tools.
  • Prior experience with circuit card assembly processes.
Benefits and Compensation

Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD, with an 8% shift differential above base pay for 2nd‑shift work. Additional benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, and potential short‑term or long‑term incentive programs, depending on position level and business needs.
