Senior RF Electrical Test Engineer

Position Summary

Raytheon’s RF Microelectronics, Module Design, and Foundry Services Department (RFMicro) seeks a 1st Shift Senior RF Electrical Test Engineer to support the production test of gallium arsenide (GaAs) and gallium nitride (GaN) Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs). This full‑time, on‑site role in Andover, MA, requires a U.S. citizen who can obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance.

• Oversee measurements on GaAs and GaN devices and MMICs in a high‑volume production environment.
• Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot electrical test systems.
• Use software to control test equipment and upload test results.
• Validate test system setups, review, and accept compliant device data.
• Support the wafer foundry and MMIC design teams.
• Interface with project leads, designers, and customers to ensure compliant and accurate test results.
• Communicate actively with cross‑functional teams (off‑shift engineers, work center leads, operation leads, manufacturing personnel, equipment team).

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum 5 years of RF, microwave, or MMIC test experience in a production or high‑volume manufacturing environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Strong knowledge of RF and microwave fundamentals (gain, P1dB, linearity, S‑parameters, noise figure, power measurements).
• Hands‑on experience with RF test equipment such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power meters.
• Experience executing and interpreting RF calibrations (power, S‑parameter calibration, de‑embedding).
• Demonstrated ability to support, troubleshoot, and optimize automated RF test systems, including test fixtures and probe cards.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools (Excel, JMP, Python, or similar) for yield improvement and root‑cause investigations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting procedures, reporting test results, and communicating technical findings.
