What You Will Learn- As a member of the MVE (Material Verification & Test) quality engineering team, you will support the SMA, JCF, and PTC processes and be responsible for quality validation of supplied material received onsite.
- You will support unionized hourly employees who perform inspections, test product, and move material, including root cause and corrective action to resolve nonconforming material and process issues.
- Day‑to‑day activities include querying data from SAP and PDM systems, performing basic data analysis on retrieved data sets, and collaborating with stakeholders across functional groups.
- You will work closely with supply chain, quality, logistics, production control, and engineering teams in a dynamic environment that introduces you to many Raytheon tools, processes, and teams.
- Utilize problem‑solving skills and root‑cause analysis to disposition and control nonconforming material.
- Identify, disseminate and satisfy established quality requirements.
- Engage with hourly employees to verify the quality of supplied material.
- Apply familiarity with quality requirements, inspection processes, and Raytheon procedures to assure consistency and continuity of MVE activities.
- Perform data collection across numerous digital systems and use collected data to perform data analysis.
- Interact daily with cross‑business teams (manufacturing, configuration control, design engineering, supply chain, production control, finance, program management) to maintain and meet organizational goals.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Support projects related to standard work, process improvement, and metrics.
- Assist in the development and execution of training documentation.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- BA/BS degree and at least 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Experience with quality engineering, inspection processes, and managing non‑conforming materials.
- Prior experience using root‑cause and corrective action processes to resolve nonconforming material.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
- Familiarity with SAP tools and PDM systems.
- Knowledge of MIL‑STD‑883, J‑STD‑020, and J‑STD‑033 standards.
- Experience with data collection and analysis.
- Experience with metric data collection and monitoring.
- Background in continuous improvement activities.
- Hands‑on problem‑solving applications.
- Experience with mechanical and chemical material property validation.
- Familiarity with measurement equipment usage and interpretation.
- Experience managing risk related to motion and control of material.
- Knowledge of RTX projects, programs, or systems with the ability to enhance daily work.
- Experience working with union labor force.
- Ability to track factory metrics, identify top customers, forecast demand, and identify improvement opportunities.

Security Clearance Information:
This position requires a DoD Secret clearance. You must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
Salary Range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
