Patriot Program Quality Lead (PQL) – Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS)

Location: Andover or Tewksbury, MA, USA (Onsite)

Security Clearance: DoD Secret Clearance – active required; U.S. citizenship required.

Lead quality assurance for Patriot Software and Training Devices, ensuring compliance with DOE, ISO 9001, and AS9100 standards, driving continuous improvement, defect management, and cost‑saving initiatives.

• Partner with quality representatives in Systems Engineering & Integration, Test, Software Engineering, and other functional teams to assure process compliance and quality risk management.
• Engage with Program Leadership, Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Operations, Finance and Quality teams to deliver on quality and mission assurance objectives.
• Interface with U.S. and global customers, suppliers, and the Integrated Product Team to support technical, quality, and financial performance.
• Define problem statements, coordinate stakeholders, and drive solutions.
• Report status, testing outcomes, field issues, investigations, metrics to leadership.
• Lead root cause corrective actions (RCCA) and FRACAS activities, ensuring all systemic issues receive extensive RCCA.
• Develop and maintain quality budgets, incorporate quality requirements into program proposals, and oversee program predictability.
• Generate Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) projects to reduce program costs.
• Implement APQP where applicable.
• Support financial analysis initiatives for program predictability.

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum eight (8) years of engineering and quality experience.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
• Technical program support experience in software/firmware development teams.
• Proficiency in RCCA and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong quality mindset with self‑start capability, excellent communication, and leadership across multi‑functional teams.
• U.S. citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance, or eligibility to obtain one.

• Active U.S. government security clearance.
• Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Certification.
• Six Sigma, Lean, CORE, or ASQ Certification.
• Experience in engineering, supply chain, or operations functional areas.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Hands‑on problem‑solving and team‑player attitude.
• Experience with contract flow and compliance.

Salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) matching, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, and other standard RTX benefits. Annual incentive programs may be offered at level and business unit discretion.
