Senior Manager, Operations Quality – Circuit Card Manufacturing

Job Summary:

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Manager of Operations Quality to join the Circuit Card Manufacturing (CCM) Team in Andover, MA. The role focuses on ensuring product and process quality, emphasizing product compliance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

Andover, MA, USA. Position Type:
Onsite. Eligibility: U.S. citizen required to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret clearance after day 1.

What you will do
  • Lead a team of operations quality engineers and hardware specialists.
  • Staff, coach, mentor, present to senior leadership, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Maintain on‑site presence to interact directly with leaders in Operations, Engineering, Quality, and program representatives.
  • Engage with factory leadership to align top priorities for the team.
  • Ensure effective root‑cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Verify and validate improvements to assess effectiveness.
  • Baseline factory metrics (scrap, rework, FPY, etc.), identify top drivers, forecast demand, and identify improvement opportunities with clear control and disposition of nonconformities.
  • Assess production trends using data analysis and statistical process control methods.
  • Lead manufacturing team discussions to drive process enhancements and reduce variation.
  • Lead APQP initiatives (PFMEA, control plans, SPC, etc.) using baseline metrics and future demand to facilitate defect prevention.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related technical field and a minimum of ten (10) years of Quality Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or related experience.
  • Previous people‑management experience and/or technical lead responsibilities across cross‑functional teams.
  • Project management experience with multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Experience with first article inspection reports (FAIRs), quality monitoring, and leading root‑cause corrective actions in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience developing/using quality metrics to drive root‑cause and long‑term corrective action.
  • Experience in manufacturing process knowledge with quality systems and industry standards (ISO 9001, AS9100/AS9102), interpreting drawings, BOMs, consumables, tool control.
  • Prior experience in quality or process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with J‑STD‑001, ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9201, Six Sigma, and Lean tools.
  • Experience with APQP/AS9145, PPAP, Key Characteristics, DFMEA, PFMEA, and control plans.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP/PRISM.
  • Experience with DoD product and process oversight (requirements, build, integration, test, delivery).
  • Experience with Product/Process Failure Modes & Effect Analysis, regression analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Existing U.S. DoD Secret (or higher) clearance.
Security Clearance

U.S. citizenship is required; only U.S. citizens may obtain a security clearance. A DoD Secret clearance is required and must be maintained after day 1.

Salary Range

USD 132,400 – 251,600 per year (announced range).
