Quantitative Cellular-Biomarker Scientist

Key Features
  • A skilled cell biologist/immunologist will join a state-of-the-art cellular biomarker-biomeasures laboratory in PDM, Andover.
  • Expertise in cellular and functional assays using flow cytometry, cell culture, and other immunological assays is required.
  • The role involves performing deep immune‑phenotyping and phospho‑signaling assays of human, mouse, and cynomolgus cells, receptor quantification, receptor internalization, and receptor occupancy to support portfolio projects.
  • Strong background in quantitative cell biology and deep knowledge of human and mouse immunology is essential.
  • Participants will be involved in all phases of laboratory operations: sample preparation, flow cytometer operation, assay execution, instrument maintenance, data acquisition, and reporting.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and stain cells for receptor quantification, receptor internalization kinetics, immune‑phenotyping, functional assays, and microscopy.
  • Run flow cytometry assays with minimal supervision; initiative in method development is expected.
  • Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot flow cytometers and time‑lapse microscopes independently.
  • Assist in assay and reagent development, sample preparation, and analysis for biomarker discovery using mass cytometry (CyTOF).
Qualifications
  • BS/MS level education in immunology, cell biology, or related fields.
  • 3–6 years of laboratory experience in an academic or industry setting.
  • Extensive experience with cell biological techniques, including cell culture, isolation of primary immune cells from human blood and mouse tissues, and immune staining for multi‑color flow assays.
  • Expertise in operation and maintenance of flow cytometers.
  • Experience with flow cytometry data analysis using Flow Jo or Cytobank.
  • Strong data organization, analysis, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced, matrix environment.
Preferred
  • Expertise in operation and maintenance of time‑lapse and confocal microscopes.
  • Experience with biochemical assays using MSD and Octet platforms.
  • Willingness to learn assays for biomarker analysis using mass spectrometry.
