Bench Scientist

Our client, a leading organization in the biotechnology industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bench Scientist to join their team. As a Bench Scientist, you will be an integral part of the Critical Reagents group, supporting innovative projects within the portfolio pipeline. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Andover, MA

What's the Job?

• Support wet lab activities using various protein characterization techniques such as ELISA, BCA, SDS-PAGE, Western blot, Octet, UV Vis, and analytical SEC.
• Assist in generating and conjugating critical reagents for research and development projects.
• Interface with external inventory management teams to ensure accurate registration and submission of critical reagents into centralized systems for lifecycle management and resupply.
• Contribute to lab operations by tracking purchase orders, managing buffer supplies, and organizing freezer inventories.
• Upload and maintain critical reagent characterization summaries on local internet sites, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.

What's Needed?

• A Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, or a related field is required.
• Knowledge of protein characterization techniques such as ligand binding assays (ELISA), BCA, SDS-PAGE, Western blot, Octet, UV Vis, and analytical SEC is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• A flexible, team-oriented work style with a willingness to learn, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across multiple disciplinary groups.
