Bioanalytical Chemist

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Bioanalytical Chemist to support the analysis of protein and small molecule therapeutics in a laboratory setting. This role is ideal for candidates with hands‑on analytical experience who are comfortable working independently while maintaining high-quality standards in a regulated environment.

• Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of protein and small molecule therapeutics.
• Run instrumentation independently including LC, iCE, CGE, pH, and UV‑vis spectroscopy.
• Prepare samples for analysis and run instrumentation with minimal supervision.
• Prepare standards and samples for analysis.
• Perform monthly maintenance of laboratory equipment and other laboratory support activities.
• Apply knowledge of cGMP and LIMS.

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).
• 2–6 years of hands‑on bioanalytical or analytical chemistry experience.
• Experience operating chromatographic and spectroscopic instrumentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a laboratory environment.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.

Preferred

• Experience with iCE (imaged capillary electrophoresis).
• Familiarity with CEX (cation exchange chromatography) and similar separation techniques.
• Knowledge of compendial assays (USP/EP methods).

• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
• Understanding of regulated laboratory environments (cGMP).

What to Expect in the Hiring Process:

• 10–15 minute Phone Interview with Region Recruiter.
• 45–60 minute Virtual Interview with Manager and/or a Group Leader.
• 30–45 minute In‑Person meeting with the Team.

Position is Full Time, Monday-Friday, First Shift, Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Andover, MA are encouraged to apply.
