Position: Electronic Engineering Technician 4

Job Summary

As an Engineering Technician in the MKS Valves Engineering team, you will play an important role within a highly collaborative, cross‑functional environment. You will work closely with electrical, software, mechanical and test engineers to design, build, test, and troubleshoot equipment used around the world. If you enjoy hands‑on work with both electrical and mechanical systems and take pride in finding practical solutions, this could be a great opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing technical support to the engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Troubleshooting analog and digital circuits down to the component level.
  • Performing failure analysis, documenting findings, and generating detailed test reports.
  • Assembling, testing, evaluating, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems, wiring, and equipment.
  • Ordering and managing electrical components, tools, and lab supplies.
  • Disassembling and reassembling complex mechanical and electro‑mechanical assemblies.
  • Supporting lab operations, including equipment maintenance, calibration tracking, and documentation.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent hands‑on experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of practical experience working with electronic systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Strong experience with component‑level troubleshooting and circuit analysis.
  • Experience performing PCB rework, including both surface‑mount (SMT) and through‑hole soldering.
  • Hands‑on experience using standard lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), DC power supplies and electronic loads.
  • Experience with PC‑based applications, including the Microsoft Office package and email.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range:
Total Base Pay Range $30.48 - $50.80 per hour. Bonus:
This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS. Benefits: MKS offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance coverage (medical, dental and vision), 401(k) with company match, life and disability insurance, 12 paid holidays, sick time, 15 paid vacation days, six weeks of fully paid parental leave, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement.
