Position: Service Specialist I, Security - 2nd Shift

Security Systems Technician (Overnight)

Join a team responsible for supporting and maintaining critical electronic security systems within a dynamic, high-visibility environment. What

will you do?
  • Install, commission, and maintain customer systems according to established procedures and safety standards.
  • Perform onsite troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to maximize system performance.
  • Create accurate technical documentation and service reports that support quality and compliance.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and identify opportunities for additional support.
  • Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve issues involving electronic security systems in a fast‑paced operational environment.
  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and testing on CCTV, access control, and other low‑voltage security systems.
  • Install, terminate, and troubleshoot low‑voltage cabling and network‑connected devices.
  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system health checks to ensure reliable operation.
  • Identify root causes of technical issues and implement corrective actions to restore system functionality.
  • Document service activities, maintenance records, and troubleshooting efforts accurately and completely.
  • Coordinate with internal technical resources and support teams to resolve complex system issues.
  • Follow all safety procedures, site requirements, and company standards while performing field service work.
  • Manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to service requests in a timely manner.
  • Work independently with limited supervision while maintaining a high level of accountability and professionalism.
  • Participate in training and development activities to build expertise in security technologies and site‑specific systems.

  • Experience with low‑voltage electrical systems, structured cabling, networking, telecommunications, or related technical fields preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, cabling, connectivity, and system performance issues.
  • Basic understanding of IP networking, network‑connected devices, and computer systems is a plus.
  • Hands‑on mechanical and technical aptitude with strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies, procedures, and system applications quickly.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, team members, and support personnel.
  • Self‑motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently after training.
  • Comfortable working in a field‑service environment and responding to operational needs as they arise.
