BMS Controls Technician II

Join our team as a BMS Controls Technician II and become the technical expert our customers rely on. In this role, you will troubleshoot, service, and optimize Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS) and HVAC control systems across commercial and industrial facilities. We are seeking experienced field technicians who enjoy solving complex technical challenges, working directly with customers, and helping critical building systems operate at peak performance.

What

will you do?
  • Perform service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS) and HVAC control systems.
  • Install, commission, configure, and optimize controllers, field devices, and related control equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve system issues involving HVAC equipment, control networks, sensors, actuators, valves, and low-voltage controls.
  • Conduct preventive, corrective, and emergency service activities to maximize system reliability and building performance.
  • Interpret mechanical, electrical, and control drawings to support field service activities.
  • Interface directly with customers, providing technical recommendations and solutions that improve operational efficiency.
  • Document service activities, system changes, and troubleshooting findings in accordance with company standards.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction on every job site.

What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
  • High school diploma, technical school, associate degree, military technical training, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience supporting Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS), HVAC controls, or related control systems
  • Experience commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting Direct Digital Controls (DDC)
  • Experience working with low-voltage controllers, sensors, actuators, valves, temperature controls, humidity controls, and related field devices
  • Working knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment including VAV systems, air handling units (AHUs), rooftop units (RTUs), chillers, and boilers
  • Ability to configure, calibrate, and optimize control systems
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and controls drawings
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to customer sites
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with BAS/BMS platforms from Schneider Electric Eco Struxture, Siemens, Automated Logic (ALC), Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Trane, or similar controls manufacturers
  • Experience with BACnet, Modbus, Lon Works, or similar building automation communication protocols
  • Previous field service experience supporting commercial or industrial facilities
  • Experience with system commissioning, retrofits, upgrades, and controls optimization
