• Work within a team of engineers and test personnel to produce high-quality deliverables during design, implementation, integration, testing and support phases.
• Diagnose, debug and resolve defects independently; provide technical leadership to development teams.
• Coordinate activities of other engineers and guide the successful, timely completion of software modules and subsystems by setting clear goals.
• Perform unit, subsystem and integration testing to ensure correct software operation and quality; mentor to ensure best testing practices.
• Provide advanced system-level support to clinical engineers, quality engineers, service engineers and test personnel.
• Contribute technical insight to program planning, strategic planning and department-wide process improvement initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers by providing ongoing technical guidance, review and assessment of development assignments.
• Comply with all internal SOPs, FDA and industry regulations; develop and improve development processes, procedures and protocols.
• Utilize and maintain the software configuration management system to keep software files correctly managed.
• Build and install software in a development and product environment.

• BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience; MS preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in software design, analysis and troubleshooting in an engineering environment.
• Experience requiring technical leadership within an advanced software development environment.
• Windows application development (WIN
  32/MFC), batch programming, and strong interest in Windows internals.
• Programming languages: C++, Python.
• Debugging in Visual Studio; TCP/IP and UDP network programming.
• Demonstrated ability to elicit, write, analyze, review, trace software requirements.

• Medical device or regulated industry experience.
• Experience with UWF, Secure Boot, Bit Locker.
• C#, CMake, Ninja, Secure programming.

The targeted pay range for this position is typically between $140,000 and $155,000, with eligibility for an annual bonus.
