Our client, a reputable independent automotive accident repair centre based in Andover, Hampshire, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor to join their expanding team. This is an excellent Vehicle Damage Assessor opportunity for a skilled professional looking to develop their career within a growing business.

  • Starting salary from £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • Uncapped performance-related bonus scheme, with on-target earnings of £70,000-£75,000 per year

Duties of a Vehicle Damage Assessor:
  • Prepare accurate manual and computerised estimates ensuring compliance with manufacturer, insurer, and customer requirements
  • Maintain detailed records of all estimates and authorisations as an Vehicle Damage Assessor
  • Follow up on unauthorised work, ensuring proper authorisation before commencing repairs
  • Liaise with bodyshop personnel to communicate work scope clearly and ensure smooth workflow
  • Manage communication with insurers regarding total loss determinations, if applicable
  • Adhere strictly to all Health & Safety regulations relevant to the position
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and quality assessments
  • Keep abreast of industry standards and updates in estimating procedures and policies
Requirements of a Vehicle Damage Assessor:
  • Proven experience in vehicle estimating within an automotive accident repair environment
  • Audatex training/qualification is essential
  • ATA accreditation and manufacturer-approved training are desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided
  • Valid UK driving licence with minimal penalty points
  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols applicable to vehicle assessment work
