Overview

The Counselor will provide students with the mental health support they need to develop (academically, socially, and spiritually) and overcome emotional/behavioral difficulties, deal with mental health struggles, and learn functional coping and social skills.

• Possess a strong Christian faith with a solid knowledge of the Bible, a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and a demonstrated character of integrity. Believe and actively support the school’s Statement of Faith.
• Possess a passion for Christian education and student discipleship. Individual must be comfortable connecting the biblical truths and worldview perspectives to their students’ lives.
• Comfort with or openness to learning school management software and other online teaching tools such as Google Classroom and the Google suite.
• Ability to work with all functions - administration, support staff, other faculty, and students.
• Bachelor’s degree of related subject from accredited college/university.
• Prior teaching/ministry experience, a teaching license, or Bible related degree.
• Master’s degree in counseling is preferred.
