Qualifications:

• Must be "highly qualified" as defined by Minnesota state requirements:
  • Option 1:
    Successful completion of the MN Para Educator Exam, or
  • Option 2:
    At least 60 college credits (official transcripts must be submitted; diplomas will not be accepted)
• Prior school-based or paraprofessional experience preferred
• Flexibility and adaptability, as daily assignments will meet specific student needs
• Clear communication skills, reliability, and strong teamwork abilities
• Already fully onboarded and prepared to begin on June 15

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom and small-group support for students, assisting lead teachers in delivering differentiated instruction
• Help implement individualized plans and accommodations to ensure student success
• Foster a positive, encouraging environment-both academically and socially-for all learners
• Assist with classroom management, materials preparation, and transitions throughout the morning
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

  Monday through Thursday, 8:55 a.m.
  
  - 12:25 p.m. (may vary by site)
• Caseload: ESY opening at a local elementary school; assignments determined based on student and site needs
• There is potential for this position to evolve into a role for the 2026/2027 school year, though this is not guaranteed.
