Special Ed Teacher - Andover, Minnesota

Make an impact with your expertise as a Special Education Teacher in a contract position for the  school year, supporting students in a Setting 3 classroom. This full-time opportunity involves working with approximately 6-10 students with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Key

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching license with ASD or DCD endorsement (Tier 3 or Tier
  4) - required
• Experience working with students with DCD and/or ASD, ideally within a Setting 3 classroom
• Background in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom climate

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and behavioral support to students with DCD and ASD
• Develop, adapt, and implement individualized curriculum and learning strategies
• Collaborate with support staff, related service providers, and families
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and compliance with requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings and team planning sessions
• Support a positive classroom environment emphasizing student growth and achievement

This contract begins August 31, 2026, and concludes June 4, 2027. The position is full-time, offering 37.5 hours per week in a stable, single-building assignment-ideal for educators seeking to dedicate themselves to one engaged school community.
