In this leadership role, you'll guide a dedicated team responsible for maintaining the City's streets, parks, trails, signs, and public infrastructure while managing multi-year capital improvement projects, departmental budgets, and seasonal operations. From directing snow and ice control during Minnesota winters to developing long-range parks and infrastructure plans, you'll help shape the quality of life for our residents.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with experience supervising field operations, managing municipal infrastructure, preparing budgets, and delivering exceptional public service. You'll work closely with elected officials, community groups, contractors, and City staff while ensuring compliance with safety regulations, municipal standards, and industry best practices.
Qualified candidates will have progressively responsible experience in public works, street maintenance, or park operations, including supervisory experience. Knowledge of municipal operations, capital planning, OSHA and MUTCD standards, and emergency response is highly desirable. A valid Minnesota Class A CDL is required.
