2 night shifts 2 early shifts Positions Available Salary: £12.83 per hour (Increasing to £13.21 after successful 6-month probation)
Twilight shift receives an additional 15% annual shift allowance

Earlies: Mon – Thu: 06:00 – 14:15 & Fri: 06:00 – 14:00
Lates (Twilight): Mon – Thu: 13:00 – 23:00 (4-day week / 3-day weekend

Syntech Recruitment are partnering with a leading electronics manufacturer seeking six PCBA Inspectors to join their growing production team across two shifts. As an Inspector, you will be responsible for the testing and inspection of high-spec PCB products. Using a combination of automated equipment and visual techniques, you will ensure every assembly meets strict customer specifications and industry standards.
PCBA Inspector ResponsibilitiesTechnical Inspection: Using AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection), FPT (Flying Probe Test), QUINS, and X-Ray equipment to verify electronic assemblies.
Visual Standards: Conducting detailed inspections via microscope and camera to identify defects or areas of concern.
Process Feedback: Providing clear communication and feedback to the SMT and soldering teams to improve build quality.
Maintenance: Handling the calibration and general maintenance of equipment within the inspection work area.
Quality Investigation: Assisting with investigations into customer returns and ensuring all work adheres to IPC standards.
Continuous Improvement: Supporting the training of team members and maintaining high levels of 'best practice' across the department.
Proven Inspection Background: Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within an electronics manufacturing environment.
Microscope Proficiency: Confident in performing visual inspections using microscopes for extended periods.
Technical Literacy: Computer literate with the ability to follow digital work instructions and data policies.
Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for identifying minute defects in complex assemblies.
Desirable Extras: Knowledge of AOI, Flying Probe, or X-Ray equipment and the ability to fault‑find electronics to component level.
