Salary Range: $35.00 To $37.00 Hourly

Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week (Full-Time)

Scope of Responsibility

Responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing staff training and workforce development initiatives to ensure high-quality, compliant, and person-centered services in compliance with all Network and DDS (Department of Developmental Services) requirements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Nursing degree and/or advanced degree preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
  • Experience in staff development, training, or leadership role preferred.
  • Experience in DDS agencies is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and other tools required to create and present training materials.
  • Knowledge of DDS regulations, training requirements, and compliance standards
  • Obtain and maintain all required certifications to include, but not limited to FA/CPR, PMT, Bi-Annual Inservice.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid Connecticut Driver’s License and eligibility for Network’s auto insurance.
Job Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to staff in training and development initiatives.
  • Supports onboarding and integration of new employees.
  • Assist leadership in evaluating staff competencies and performance improvement needs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to assess training needs and develop new hire orientation, annual training, and other ongoing training programs to align with regulatory and operational needs.
  • Create a training calendar and coordinate all necessary training with other departments.
  • Provide certification training, including but not limited to, CPR, First Aid, and PMT
  • Implement training programs in accordance with DDS guidelines and regulations, including abuse and neglect, person-centered support, behavioral supports, safety protocols, incident reporting, and documentation standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in ongoing training, in services and staff meetings, as necessary.
  • Review and ensure compliance with the company policies and procedures.
  • Other responsibilities as deemed necessary
