** Position Description
** The Anoka County Park’s mission is to positively impact the quality of life in Anoka County by providing parks, outdoor recreation, and leisure services for the public. Our mission encompasses the protection of the natural environment, improving the health of citizens, and supporting a strong local economy. The department has an immediate opening for a Park keeper who will perform various duties.

Some of the critical responsibilities of this position include maintaining and enhancing the infrastructure of the Anoka County Parks system and preserving the beauty, historic value, and the nature resources of the park system for future generations.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, on-site position. Interviews will take place the week of March 9th, 2026, for those selected to move forward in the hiring process.
** Pay & Benefits
*** Salary: $57,324 ($27.56 per hour).
* Anoka County Salary Schedule Grade 30. $57,324 to $77,376 ($27.56 to $37.20 per hour).

** Work Location
*** This position will work at Anoka County Parks Maintenance Facility, located at 1350 Bunker Blvd NW, Andover, MN 55304.
* Expected work hours are Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
** Job Duties and Responsibilities*

** Maintain park buildings and facilities including building maintenance such as remodeling projects, structural building repairs, mechanical plant maintenance, and custodial duties.
* Perform park maintenance, repair, and renovation projects including presenting ideas, assisting design creation, estimating costs, determining equipment needed, ordering and comparing source/quality/cost of materials, coordinating with contractors, submitting daily reports, and creating post project summaries.
* Construct, install, and maintain park trails and amenities including the installation of playground equipment, maintenance of campgrounds, boat launches, picnic pavilions, Nature Center, and informational signs to support patron use and enjoyment of parks.
* Oversee the construction and repair of trails, roadways, parking lots, retaining walls, decks, boardwalks, and grading including sweeping, patching, stripping, and implementing appropriate erosion controls as needed.
* Maintain and manage turf, and landscape including mowing, sod installation, fertilizing, top-dressing, aerating, pest control, seeding, irrigation maintenance, turf equipment operation and maintenance, and other landscaping projects.
* Implement strategies to preserve, restore, and maintain natural resources including prairie restoration, disease and hazardous tree removal, forest management, and tree pruning.
