The Deputy Clerk will be responsible for computer entry and handling sums of money; filing papers and new court cases; waiting on the public and being responsive to the public; answering the telephone and responding to telephone requests; working the mail; issuing all types of legal forms; and other related duties as assigned by the District Clerk.

Supervision

Works under the general direction of the District Clerk.

Education and/or Experience

• High School Graduate or G.E.D.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Type 40 wpm with minimal errors
• File alphabetically

Working Conditions

The position works in an office setting. Fine dexterity, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, talking, hearing and vision are regularly required. Occasionally, standing, reaching, handling, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, climbing, bending, and crouching are required.
