Are you experienced or qualified in hazardous or radioactive waste management looking to become a recognized technical specialist within one of the nation's most highly regulated and specialist industries?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organization where you'll develop expert knowledge in waste acceptance, regulatory compliance, and radioactive waste transportation while playing a critical role in supporting major Department of Energy projects.
This company is a leading waste management organization specializing in the safe processing, transportation, and disposal of hazardous and radioactive waste. Following several major contract awards, they are continuing to expand while investing heavily in employee development, technical training, and long-term career progression.
On offer is a highly technical role where you'll become the subject matter expert for waste acceptance activities, reviewing complex shipping documentation, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and working closely with customers and operations to support the safe movement and disposal of radioactive and hazardous waste.
This role would suit someone with hazardous or radioactive waste experience who wants to deepen their technical expertise, work within a highly regulated environment, and build a long-term career as a specialist within an expanding organization.
The Role:- Review shipping documentation and waste acceptance packages to ensure compliance with DOT, NRC, IATA, and facility regulations
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams to support compliant transportation, characterization, and disposal of hazardous and radioactive waste
- Develop specialist knowledge of waste acceptance processes while supporting major Department of Energy and nuclear decommissioning projects
- Experience with hazardous and/or low-level radioactive waste management
- Knowledge of waste transportation, packaging, shipping regulations, and regulatory compliance
- Looking to become a recognised technical specialist within a growing, highly regulated organization offering excellent long-term career development
The salary advertised is the bracket available for this position. The actual salary paid will be dependent on your level of experience, qualifications and skill set and will be decided by our client, the employer.
