Senior Estimator

Reports To:

Regional Manager, Central Estimating

Senior Estimators are responsible for all aspects of bidding a project including labor, time, and materials requirements to determine the overall cost of projects. This role is responsible for increasing profitability through comprehensive cost estimating.

• Interprets and analyzes contract documents regarding terms, specifications, clarifications, and requirements for each project and prepares estimates and bid proposals.
• Estimates majority of the work applicable to the respective region or business line, including target projects and owners list, and manages bid flow.
• Reads and interprets sophisticated specs and drawings.
• Uses formulas and makes calculations.
• Prepares relevant and reliable forecasts.
• Creates and presents reports to upper management.
• Builds and maintains positive relationships with key vendors.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 7+ years of industrial services experience preferred
• 3+ years of experience reading isometric drawings
• 3+ years of experience in estimating industrial services lines of business
• Bachelor’s degree a plus but not required

• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional team initiatives
• Knowledge in safety procedure implementation is a plus
• Ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects and competing priorities
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines
• Critical in managing the business and identifying problems or opportunities
• Demonstrates ability to be flexible and quickly adaptable to changing conditions across all spectrums
• Creative and innovative approaches and solutions on a project-by-project basis
• Effective participation in team environment, with both external and internal teammates

Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

Light work that includes moving objects up to twenty pounds.

No adverse environmental conditions expected.

Some travel required.
