Serenity Light Recovery Center at Sierra Health and Wellness uses evidence-based methods to restore families, relationships, and self-worth for individuals who have struggled with substance abuse and mental health issues.

• Full‑time: 12‑shift AM or NOC
• PRN: 12‑shift AM or NOC

The registered nurse will enhance patient care within the nursing department, support colleagues, and monitor medication regimes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversee the day‑to‑day delivery of patient care by licensed and non‑licensed staff.
• Monitor and assess patients for withdrawal symptoms using tools such as CIWA and COWS, and respond appropriately.
• Prepare, review, and maintain medical records, nursing notes, and medication logs to meet physician and state health code requirements.
• Provide nursing care according to physician orders, care plans, and established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies.
• Sign, date, and perform all charting, record keeping, and care plans in accordance with established policies.
• Provide individualized resident care and ensure medication orders are accurate and up‑to‑date.
• Ensure compliance with all medical/nursing regulations for THHS and the Joint Commission.
• Audit charts weekly for compliance and oversee LVN staff on duty.

• Current Registered Nursing (RN) License in Texas.
• Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred).

• Excellent communication and counseling skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to coordinate with professionals from diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to the philosophy of recovery and client respect.
• Customer‑service oriented, professional attitude.
• Current TB test, CPR/First Aid certifications.
