Veterinary Externship Position Overview

Our practice is located in Angleton, TX, which is 45-minutes south of Houston. Rich in history and culture, there are so many historical places to explore. Angleton is Brazoria County, which is one of the first counties to gain independence from Mexico in 1836. Here in Angleton, you will find the Brazoria County Historical Museum and the Stephen F Austin County Park to learn about the area's history.

Looking for a family day out? Head to Crocodile Encounters to see the crocodiles and feed turtles and other animals! We are also close to the coast... be ready for fishing and beach time!

Angleton Veterinary Clinic is an AAHA small animal practice led by Dr. Sherry

D. Clark. Our focus is on providing quality patient care and achieving top-notch client satisfaction. We use advanced technologies and techniques, which, coupled with our team’s passion and knowledge, makes us the area leader in veterinary service.

• Run cases from start to finish, which includes engaging and building relationships with both clients and patients—plus you’ll have the support from our VT or DVM!
• Unique in-person hands-on experience
• Assist in the diagnostics and treatments of a variety of small animal cases
• Maintain a positive work environment

• Currently enrolled in a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program required
• 3rd or 4th year student preferred
• Highly motivated, with a desire to learn
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Demonstrated compassion for patients and clients
• Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment
