Position: Retail Assistant Store Manager - 0446

Overview

Retail Assistant Store Manager position with a base hourly wage plus eligible commissions and bonuses. Pay range: $13.00 to $17.00 per hour. We offer a commission structure paid for each transaction processed and other benefits.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six (6+) months of management/3rd key experience. The Assistant Store Manager is accountable for day-to-day store operations, promoting a positive and productive environment, partnering with the Store Manager to lead and develop staff, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations/satisfaction. The role supports a customer-centric environment and collaborates with the Store Manager to analyze store financial statements and meet financial goals.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
  • Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and protect assets.
  • Maintain asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing loans.
  • Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store systems, and reporting.
  • Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes for value and integrity of loans issued.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to align with the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up-to-date on product knowledge and act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds).
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise others and work with firearms and become firearms certified (as applicable).
  • Ability to work across multiple locations as business needs dictate; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Assistant Store Managers will work 40+ hours per week; hours are not guaranteed.
  • Computer literate with ability to operate POS systems and standard office machines; strong multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Cash handling experience; strong work ethic and business sense; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years;
    High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

Commission Plan & Benefits
  • Commission incentive: 2-8% of gross profit based on personal performance; details provided during interview. Earned Wage Access available as a benefit (restrictions may apply).
