Maintains and controls plant machines and equipment of lift station facilities by performing the following duties.

• Controls and maintains electric motors, pumps, and valves to regulate wastewater flow into the wastewater treatment plant system.
• Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment.
• Performs daily maintenance at all lift stations.
• Read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Write correspondence and daily/weekly reports.
• Carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Manage problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Performs related duties as assigned and required.
• Rotating on-call schedule.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• Texas Class "C" Driver's License
• Must currently have or be able to obtain a ‘Collections II’ license within 2 years of employment

Visual Abilities. Requires the ability to see close-up, at a distance, and peripherally.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, and moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This position is considered essential and requires a response in an emergency.
