Pharmacy JOB
TITLE:
Pharmacy Technician SHIFT:
Part-time, FTE 0.5 (40 hours bi-weekly)
Weekend Rotations
QUALIFICATIONS- High school diploma or equivalent. College courses desirable but not required.
- Current pharmacy technician permit or Pharmacy Technician in training license required
- 2years pharmacy technician experience preferred but not required.
- Current pharmacy technician certification from PTCB or equivalent organization required.
Pharmacy Technicians assist Pharmacists in preparing and distributing drugs, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians work only under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a Registered Pharmacist.

- Regular reliable attendance.

- Demonstrates proficient use of email.
- Procures and distributes drug orders per Physician request, Pharmacist request or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures and protocols and within specified time frame.
- Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies, procedures and protocols and within specified time frame.
- Contributes to the effective operation of the department.
- Participates in the quality improvement activities of the department.
- Demonstrates competence in automated dispensing equipment and adheres to established processes and procedures.
- Maintains competency required for current job title/position.
