A well-established manufacturing organization serving multiple industrial markets is seeking a Production Superintendent to lead manufacturing operations in the Angola, Indiana area.
This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for overseeing plant production, supervising production leaders, and ensuring safe, efficient operations that meet quality and delivery expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily manufacturing operations and ensure production goals are achieved
- Supervise, mentor, and develop Production Supervisors across multiple shifts
- Manage production schedules to support on-time customer delivery
- Monitor plant performance using KPIs and operational metrics
- Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues
- Maintain strong focus on labor efficiency, productivity, and cost control
- Support plant safety initiatives and ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and leadership teams to improve operational performance
- Direct supervision of production supervisors and manufacturing personnel
- Participate in hiring, training, and performance management of employees
- Assign and coordinate work activities to meet operational goals
- Address employee concerns and ensure compliance with company policies
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field preferred (Equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will be considered)
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations
- Experience managing production scheduling and plant operations
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience required
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Experience managing labor performance and operational metrics
- Proficiency with standard computer systems and reporting tools
