Summary:

Assists in the day-to-day operations of appropriate area and its operations. Oversees and assists in creating a smooth transition between other shifts. Leads are an extension of management and should always conduct themselves in a professional and appropriate manner. The ability to get along with others and collaborate is key for all ATM employees, especially leaders. Working with and supporting your department and other departments is expected.

Leads are expected to work through issues and obstacles professionally, timely and involve their manager when necessary. Shift and Pay6:00am-2:30

PMMon-Fri $19.40 an hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

1. Setting the next shift up with a clean areaa. Verify and sign off all tooling accounted for and in proper place at end of each shift if need be

2. Excellent Communication Skillsa. To supervisors of quality issues of all parts / processesb. To quality and manufacturing engineers (quality issues, tooling needs) c. Verify run schedules with supervisors and other area leadsd. Identify and communicate SWI updates as needede. To material handler for raw material as neededf. To supervisors to notify PM due and schedule PM downtimeg. To supervisors for low efficiencies or any downtime over 15 minutesh.

To supervisor for raw material supply issuesi. Communication should be specific, courteous and relevant to the proper audience. Leads should always be professional and timely with their communication.j. Flexibility to work extended hours with short notice.k. Must be able to read, write, speak English.

3. Traininga. Get Operators signed off on jobs that they are trained onb. Check that training cards are present and accuratec. Assist in training of new employees to area or retraining of employee if neededd. Train employees on SWI’s, paperwork, Plex, quality standards and sorting procedures.

4. Supply Operators with all materials needed (i.e.: components, rails, paperwork, racks and dunnage with labels removed.

5. Assist operator with Quality Concerns

6. Preform random quality checks

7. Make sure that the operators are logged into the proper work centers and are in the correct job

8. Ensure Gages and fixtures / tooling are being maintaineda. Gages – Verify in calibrationb. Cleaning schedules are completed as requiredc. Verify spare tooling available if applicable

9. Call for maintenance when machines are down

10. Move finished product to next operation

11. Run all Plex labels for operators

12. Create and print all scrap labels

13. Make sure that scrap is taken to the MRB area and that all finished paperwork is turned in at the end of the shift

14. Help Change over the work center

15. Cover overtime for other area leads’ vacation/call ins/weekends

16. Operate machine in emergency situations or as directed by supervision

17. Operator relief for restroom breaks

18. Run through breaks as needed #angola
