JOB TITLE

Registered Nurse

SHIFT

48 Hours Bi-Weekly, day shift, hours will vary based on office needs

BENEFITS

This is a part-time, benefit eligible position.

Bonus of up to $5,000 available

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN license in the State of Indiana.
  • Has general knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
  • Has been educated in basic pharmacology and the administration of medications.
  • CPR provider certification within 1 month.
  • Experience working in a wound office is a plus.
  • JOB SUMMARY

    Provides nursing care to wound care patients as directed by the provider utilizing the nursing process. Performs patient access functions.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
  • Exemplifies good customer service.
  • Regular reliable attendance.
  • Effectively communicates and gets along well with others.
  • Demonstrates proficient use of email.
  • Accomplishes goals set for self and by Office Manager/Supervisor.
  • Completes patient care assignments as directed by provider and clinical protocol. Reports significant findings to the provider.
  • Prepares clinic areas for patient care at the beginning of the shift. Secures clinic areas nightly.
  • Proficient in EPIC including retrieving patient records, entering patient data (e-form) and locking record.
  • Greets patients on arrival.
  • Assists when needed, registering and entering patient data into the Health Information system. Scans insurance card information.
  • Admits patients, taking brief history and vitals.
  • Performs procedure set‑up and assists provider as indicated.
  • Discharges patient with prescriptions/instructions and documents in patient’s chart.
  • Maintains adequate medical supply and medication inventory.
  • Schedules surgeries or referrals as ordered, attains prior authorizations for surgeries when needed, provides patient education and instruction information.
  • Familiar with policies in Policy stat, including nursing, registration and disaster policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Office Manager/Supervisor.
