UNICEF Child Protection Officer will support the country's programming on Children On the Move (COM) within the Country Programme ) from development planning to delivery of results.
Summary of Key Functions- Support to programme development and planning
- Programme management, monitoring and delivery of results
- Technical and operational support to programme implementation
- Networking and partnership building
- Innovation, knowledge management and capacity building
Minimum Requirements:
- Education:
Bachelor or equivalent in international development, human rights, psychology, sociology, international law, or related fields. - Work Experience:
Minimum two years of professional experience in social development planning and management in child protection related areas. - Skills:
Child protection expertise, programme planning, results‑based management, monitoring & evaluation, stakeholder engagement, capacity building. - Language:
Fluency in English.
Desirables:
- Knowledge of another UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language.
- University or advanced degree in law including international refugee law, international humanitarian law.
- Experience in refugee and migrant protection.
- Relevant experience in programme development in child protection areas in a UN system agency.
- Experience in both development and humanitarian contexts.
- Relevant country‑level experience in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
