Job Summary:Position is responsible for learning retaining and recalling construction techniques and processes under the guidance of job-site Superintendent. Reading blueprints and specifications to ensure proper interpretation of design. Applying knowledge of specialized methodologies, techniques, or processes and learning management and inspection of construction projects. Duties include building layout, monitoring, and assigning work to employees; coordinating, organizing, and overseeing construction projects and purchasing materials in the absence of a superintendent;
overseeing equipment operation; maintaining equipment; inspecting work in progress to ensure that work conforms to specifications and adherence to work schedules. This position is working in the field on a career path to Superintendent.

- Supervise crews and subcontractors
- Reviewing data to determine material and labor requirements.
- Works in the field under direct supervision of the Superintendent. Performs concrete/steel/carpentry tasks as needed
- Coordinate shop drawings with conformance to building documents
- Assists Superintendent in planning, organizing, and scheduling work,
- Consults with clients, vendors, subcontractors, or other individuals to discuss and resolve issues. Formulate short interval planning and assist in running worksite job meetings
- Confers with job superintendent, subcontractors, and owners engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to resolve construction problems and prevent delays
- Studies project documents for information pertaining to type of material required, and dimensions of structure; prepares layout, using proper tools and company standards and checking for square using theodolites, total station and laser
- Ensure that proper safety is maintained and incident reporting procedures are followed, bring problems to the attention of the Superintendent, Field Safety Coordinator or HR Manager.
