Job SummaryAdjunct Dental Hygiene Instructor to teach various Dental Hygiene courses.
Days and times to be determined.
Essential FunctionsTeaches assigned courses in accordance with course competencies and syllabi. Develops and/or utilizes a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods designed to meet the individual learning styles of students. Fosters a safe and civil learning environment. Informs students about course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies. Monitors, evaluates, and documents student attendance, progress and competency attainment.
Required Qualifications- Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene and Bachelor’s degree.
- 3 years non‑teaching related clinical work experience.
- Registered Dental Hygienist or ability to obtain Iowa Dental Hygienist license prior to start of employment.
- BLS CPR Certified Healthcare Provider.
- DDS or DMD.
- Registered Dentist.
- Master’s degree in a related field or current enrollment in a related master’s degree program.
- 3 years non‑teaching related clinical work experience, to teach in Didactic courses in DHY.
- Teaching experience.
