Job SummaryAdjunct Astronomy Instructor for the Fall Semester 2026 and Spring Semester 2027. Teach assigned undergraduate courses in astronomy, using a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse student learning styles.
Essential Functions- Teach assigned courses in accordance with course competencies and syllabi.
- Develop and/or utilize a variety of instructional strategies, techniques, and delivery methods designed to meet individual learning styles.
- Foster a safe and civil learning environment.
- Inform students about course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document student attendance, progress, and competency attainment.
- Master’s degree in Astronomy or a master’s degree with 12 graduate hours in science of which 6 graduate hours must be in Astronomy or Astrophysics.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals from varied backgrounds.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- Teaching experience in astronomy or related fields.
Fall Semester 2026 and Spring Semester 2027. Days and times to be determined.
