Salary Information
This is a Specially Funded Position. Starting salary: $58,816 – $64,006
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. The starting salary range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Pay Grade: AJ
Job Summary
Coordinate Mortuary Science program processes to support student success, faculty needs, and ensure compliance with accreditation standards. Collaborate with DMACC faculty, staff, and state and federal agencies to maintain effective processes and clear communication. Support students in navigating and completing all program requirements for entry through graduation.
Essential Functions
Assist Mortuary Science students in meeting accreditation and program requirements. Assist students in identifying goals and developing career pathways in order to achieve successful transitions to post-secondary education, training, and/or employment. Provide guidance on program requirements and assist students with their transition to DMACC through program completion. Work collaboratively with Student Affairs to assist students in navigating college processes and accessing resources.
Maintain accreditation-required state funeral practitioner license information. Provide prospective and current students with licensure requirement guidance. Lead program recruitment efforts and the development and implementation of existing and future initiatives, with a focus on enrolling students. Participate in discussions with stakeholders of the programs and provide feedback to improve future programs. Work collaboratively with college departments, programs, and committees to support recruitment and program initiatives.
Work closely with New Student Orientation and provide support through coordination of materials and program logistics. Develop, implement, and maintain program tools, guides, and other resources to assist students. Coordinate program website changes and related communications. Facilitate operational processes and coordinate services to support program delivery.
Assist in the collection and maintenance of Mortuary Science assessment and retention data. Maintain records and documentation related to accreditation and licensure. Prepare and provide information for accreditation compliance, program reporting, assessment activities, and continuous improvement efforts.
Perform other duties assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree and three years of experience in program recruitment, career services, admissions, training and development or related areas in education setting, OR Associate Degree or Advance Standing Diploma in Mortuary Science plus five years of licensure as a funeral…
