Salary Information

$1,123 per Equivalent Credit Hour ( ECH ) .

Applicants should describe their ability to teach CRJ 109 Theories of Interviewing, CRJ 200 Criminology, or both.
Assignment may include evening or off-campus teaching, individualized and/or competency-based instruction and/or online/distance learning.

Teaches assigned courses in accordance with course competencies and syllabi.

Develops and/or utilizes a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods designed to meet the individual learning styles of students.

Fosters a safe and civil learning environment.

Informs students about course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies.
Monitors, evaluates, and documents student attendance, progress and competency attainment.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in core field (
Criminal Justice, Law degree/Juris Doctorate
, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology) OR master’s degree in any field plus 12 graduate semester hours in a combination of the qualifying fields that provide a foundation in the specific subject matter being taught, with a minimum of six credits from bolded field;
OR possess a bachelor’s degree and 6,000 hours experience working within the criminal justice system of law enforcement, courts, or corrections, or closely allied occupations.
Ability to function effectively in a team environment.
Demonstrated effectiveness working with populations having diverse values, and/or coming from varied cultures and backgrounds.

Desired Qualifications

Teaching Experience.
Ability to use and apply alternative instructional delivery systems to enhance learning.
Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
Experience teaching, working, or volunteering with high school students.

CRJ 109:
January 12 – May 6, 2026, Tuesday and Thursday 9:40am – 11:05am.
CRJ 200:
January 11 – May5, 2026, Monday and Wednesday 12:50pm – 2:15pm.
