We are hiring building paraprofessional substitutes in the Ankeny Community School District. Remember that educator who made a difference in your life? Now it's your turn! You will work every day that school is in session for one of the following buildings:
- Ankeny High School
- Centennial High School
- Northeast Elementary
- Northwest Elementary
- Rock Creek Elementary

Paraprofessional
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18
Pay rates:
- Substitute Paraprofessional: $17.25/hour
- Receive up to $150 monthly bonus each month of 2026 fall semester

- Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
- Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing classroom instruction while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions.
- Substitute aides may also be referred to as paraprofessionals, education technicians, teacher's aide, instructional assistant, classroom assistant or education assistant.
