Founding Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, model, and validate complex mechanical assemblies and components for CADABRA workflows and demonstrations.
• Define best practices for CAD automation from a mechanical engineering perspective.
• Collaborate closely with AI and software teams to translate real engineering processes into intelligent automation features.
• Create parametric, modular, and reusable CAD models aligned with industry standards.
• Test and evaluate CADABRA outputs for accuracy, manufacturability, and usability.
• Provide domain expertise to guide product roadmap and feature development.
• Take initiative in a fast-paced startup environment and contribute to product direction.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles.
• Proficiency in Solid Works or similar professional CAD software.
• Experience designing full assemblies and detailed production-ready parts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a self-starter mindset — capable of working independently and taking ownership.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with FEA, DFM/DFA, or design optimization.
• Familiarity with CAD automation, macros, or scripting.
• Background in automotive, aerospace, robotics, or industrial design.
• Passion for AI, design tools, and improving the engineer’s creative experience.

Compensation:

• $80,000 – $120,000 base salary (based on experience)
