About the OpportunityThe Momba Group is hiring for a client seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join its IT Engineering team. This role will lead the design, evolution, and reliability of enterprise network infrastructure spanning on‑premises, data center, and cloud environments.
The Senior Network Engineer will play a critical role in shaping a large‑scale, highly available network that supports distributed operations, mission‑critical systems, and ongoing cloud transformation initiatives.
Core technologies include Cisco Meraki, Cisco Nexus, NDFC (Network Data Fabric Controller), BGP, and hybrid cloud connectivity. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strategic thinking and thrives in complex, high‑impact environments.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and evolution of enterprise network architecture across campus, data center, and cloud (Azure) environments utilizing Cisco Meraki and Cisco Nexus platforms.
- Architect and optimize BGP routing strategies to ensure scalable, resilient connectivity across multi‑site and hybrid cloud environments.
- Own and advance network automation and fabric management through NDFC, driving consistency, efficiency, and operational visibility.
- Design and implement secure, scalable Azure networking solutions, including:
- Virtual Networks (VNets)
- Network Security Groups (NSGs)
- Application Gateway
- Engineer and optimize hybrid connectivity solutions, including Express Route and site‑to‑site VPNs, to provide highly available integration between on‑premises and cloud environments.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues across multiple technology domains, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long‑term improvements.
- Establish and enforce network standards, documentation, and best practices to improve reliability and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with security, cloud, and infrastructure teams to deliver integrated, secure, and cost‑effective solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, performance optimization, and adoption of modern networking practices.
- Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network environments.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Cisco Meraki and Cisco Nexus platforms.
- Deep expertise in BGP routing and enterprise network design.
- Experience with Azure networking services and hybrid cloud connectivity.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network security principles.
- Experience supporting high‑availability, mission‑critical network environments.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex end‑to‑end network issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical teams.
- CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent networking certifications.
- Experience with:
- SD‑WAN
- Network Automation
- Terraform
- Python
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
NOTE:
Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, technical expertise, education, certifications, and overall qualifications. This position is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus opportunity.
