Facilities Manager

We have dozens of ready‑mix and asphalt production facilities around the state of Iowa. Our massive fleet of dump and ready‑mix trucks serves thousands of job sites every year.

In addition, our concrete and asphalt paving divisions, along with our various other crews, complete hundreds of projects every season.

Manatt's has an opening for a Facilities Manager at our Ankeny Plant.

Coordinates, oversees and/or manages repair and maintenance work assignments performed by technicians, vendors and contractors performing building maintenance, landscaping and janitorial work.

Provides oversight for the general upkeep of the building, grounds and machinery and troubleshoot when things go wrong.

Manage vendor relationships for building, machine related components and landscaping.

Responsible for facilities inspections and reports.

Maintain an inventory of all equipment and parts; maintain related records.

Perform basic HVAC maintenance functions, change air filters, clean coils in accordance with established company procedures and schedules, including mopping, toweling, stripping, oiling/dusting approaches.

Ensure basic facilities such as water and heating are well maintained and are the first contact for utilities and communications infrastructure issues.

Follow all safety procedures, perform visual inspections, and remain alert for signs of faulty equipment/machinery.

Maintain, repair, and adjust all machines and equipment - vending machines, restroom and kitchen equipment.

Develop temporary solutions to equipment problems to minimize down time until a permanent solution is available.

Ensure snow is removed prior to employee arrival when possible.

Perform light housekeeping duties as needed.

Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

Successfully complete and pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical.

5+ years maintaining building related infrastructure experience.

Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical systems, and HVAC.

Familiarity with usage and safe operation of hand and power tools; electric meters, air compressors, drills, saws, soldering irons, grinders, and pullers, hydraulic presses, etc.
