Overview
The ideal candidate will support daily laboratory activities by leading general operations, housekeeping, orderliness, and cleanliness of the workspace. Other duties include receiving and labeling incoming samples, maintaining sufficient labware inventory, and preparing buffers and reagents. Troubleshooting and operating equipment needed for genotyping production will be required. This candidate is responsible for reviewing and archiving task-related documents. Understanding and following Employee Safety and Health (ESH) guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workflow guidelines, and maintaining a safe work environment are required.
The ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively with more than one supervisor, interfacing with manufacturing and research personnel, is encouraged.
- Lead general operations, housekeeping, orderliness, and cleanliness of the workspace.
- Receive and label incoming samples; maintain sufficient labware inventory.
- Prepare buffers and reagents.
- Troubleshoot and operate equipment needed for genotyping production.
- Review and archive task-related documents.
- Follow Employee Safety and Health (ESH) guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain a safe work environment.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and research personnel as needed.
- Experience or ability to perform lab operations, sampling, labeling, and inventory management.
- Ability to follow SOPs and safety guidelines; strong attention to detail.
Pay range: 19-22/hr according to experience.
