The Technician is responsible for preparing and moving physical samples and performing designated seed quality analyses. This role provides laboratory and greenhouse support, including preparing reagents, assisting with seed health testing, and maintaining indicator plants. The position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
Job Description- Create and move physical samples as required.
- Perform designated physical seed quality analyses.
- Prepare buffers and reagents for laboratory activities.
- Maintain indicator plants and conduct grow-out assays.
- Inspect, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Assist with seed health testing activities.
- Follow and maintain ISO Quality Management Standards.
- Wear appropriate PPE and follow all laboratory safety precautions and procedures.
- Provide general laboratory and greenhouse support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and support cross-functional activities.
- 1–3 years of related experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a global and multicultural environment.
- Ability to follow established quality, safety, and laboratory procedures.
- Basic laboratory and sample-handling skills.
- Ability to follow ISO Quality Management Standards and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform laboratory and greenhouse-related tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Related education, experience, and/or training preferred.
- Must be able to pass drug screenings and criminal background checks.
- Shift: 01:00 AM to 10 AM, Monday to Friday
- Ability to properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures or seed quality testing is preferred.
- Estimated Salary: $14.86 to $22.86 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.
