Position Summary

Freezer, Cooler and Deli Stocker Associate at Sam's Club #6979, 4625 SE Delaware Ave, Ankeny, IA. The role involves stocking, maintaining product quality, ensuring temperature control, and providing member service.

• Maintain safety by following company safety standards, conducting safety sweeps, forklift spotting, hazardous material handling, steel standard guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations.
• Ensure freezer/cooler/deli area meets company policies: handling claims and returns, zoning, stocking merchandise, setting up displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise, completing required audits and documentation, and securing merchandise.
• Provide member service by acknowledging members, locating merchandise, assisting with purchasing decisions, providing deli products, resolving issues, and promoting company products and services.
• Follow food handling policies: operate, repair, and sanitize equipment, follow cold chain procedures, clean the area, monitor freezer and cooler fans, drains, and doors for proper operation, and report issues to management.
• Maintain temperature control, verify expiration dates, dispose of lower quality food products, pack ready‑to‑sell products in proper containers, and keep the area clean, sanitized, and member‑ready.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Successfully complete all required trainings and assessments within the prescribed time period if offered the position.

Hourly wage: $18.00 to $26.00. Additional premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
