Transportation Carrier Representative

** Job Purpose and Impact*
* The Transportation Carrier Representative will work with transportation company to move available freight within the organization's brokerage network. In this role, you will handle relationships with a moderately complex portfolio of carriers through prospecting and onboarding activities to ensure efficient, cost effective and profitable movement of goods for the organization.

** Key Accountabilities*
* + Partner with respective teams to support the placement of a moderately complex carrier portfolio, standard operating processes, available capacity and quality services.

+ Engage frequently with key carrier contacts to establish relationships.

+ Communicate with key carrier contacts on service issues and provide resolution.

+ Maintain data and prepare reports in the organization's operating system to ensure accurate and timely information and relevant buying decisions.

+ Participate in negotiations to support bids, price and service commitments which fulfill profit goals and service requirements.

+ Provide contributions to continuous improvement activities related to carrier opportunities, best practices, industry developments and events.

+ Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

* ** Minimum Qualifications*
* + Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

+ Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams
