Job Summary
Join Casey's Fleet Services team at our Ankeny Distribution Center as a Mechanic. As a Mechanic, you will complete preventative maintenance inspections, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild major components on vehicles and equipment. You will ensure accurate diagnosis and effective repair or replacement of components.
Hours for this role are 11:00 pm‑7:00 am.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance and ensure the timely and effective repair of any problems identified during an inspection.
- Perform inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, AC, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment. Advise supervisor immediately if additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
- Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
- Complete required paperwork using fleet maintenance software, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
- Conduct safety checks on vehicles.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Starting hiring range: $22.40 - $29.50 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on your knowledge, skills and abilities, related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. Our full salary range for this role extends beyond the typical hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.
Requirements- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Minimum of three years of experience performing maintenance/minor vehicle repairs, including brake systems.
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
- Maintains certifications on brake repairs and adjustments.
